LG Organizes Donation Drive On Mawalid Al-Nabawi, Birthday Of The Prophet Mohammad
LG Electronics (LG) organized a share box campaign on 3rd February leading up to the birthday of the Prophet Mohammad as part of the LG Reach Campaign. The campaign is an effort to provide support to the Al Qouz labour camp workers and was organized internally from 1st – 31st January 2012 with generous donations from over 200 employees of LG UAE.
The campaign was able to provide clothes and shoes to approximately 125 workers in the Al Qouz labour camp on 3rd February.
Mr. D.Y. Kim, President, LG Gulf FZE said, “LG Gulf is dedicated towards creating an impact with its social responsibility initiatives. LG Reach aims to provide for workers residing in Labour Camps by contributing clothes, books, shoes etc. Once again, LG employees have shown great support and we look forward towards creating similar results every year. Timing it with the auspicious occasion of the Prophets birthday added more delight to the event”.
The laborers were presented with individual boxes containing a bundle of items by Mr. D.Y. Kim as well as a few employees of LG Gulf. Following the giving away of the boxes, workers enjoyed an evening of entertainment and light snacks.
Apart from the Share Box campaign, LG Reach will be organizing several more activities throughout the year to support NGO’s as well as Labour Camps.
