Features touch controls for each cooking zone, one touch simmer, rapid heat up and visual cook zone. It also has great safety features on board to give you peace of mind especially around little fingers, such as residual heat indicator, automatic off for spillage and/or overheating.
The electromagnetic energy generated by an induction coil reacts only with magnetic materials. This means the base of the pot or pan absorbs the electromagnetic energy and converts it into energy thus making the base of the pan the source of the heat. The benefit of this is safety as it is flameless and has a lower cooking surface temperature. Induction heating ensures precise, efficient cooking.
One Touch Simmer
Pressing the one touch simmer button sets all the active cooking zones to a light simmer (the lowest setting). So if you are interrupted whilst cooking you can press the button and when you are back to your cooking, simply press the button again and it resets all the active cooking zones to their original setting.
Visual Cook Zone
The visual cook zone lights up when the cooking zone is turned on to let you know which zones are active. It also indicates whether a pot has been detected or not.
Timer
You can set the cooking time for each zone individually. Once the cooking time has elapsed the zones switch off automatically.

best cooktop ever
I have used my LG induction cooktop now for about 4 months. it is without doubt one of the best purchases ever. to cook with this is so easy and fast. cleaning the cooktop is also really easy. the food is always cooked evenly and I never burn it on the bottom like I used to with gas.
I looked at heaps of induction cooktops before I bought this one and the salesman recommended the LG because it was such great value for money. It does everything the expensive brands do and more. I think LG has done really well with this induction. I have now recommended to 1 of my friends who also bought it and they love it too. Well done LG!!
