LG TO UNVEIL ITS NEWEST ULTRABOOK AND TAB-BOOK™ 2 DEVICES AT CES 2014

Sydney, Dec. 31, 2013 — LG Electronics (LG) has globally announced it will unveil its newest Ultrabook (Model 13Z940) as well as second generation Tab-Book™ 2 Hybrid devices (Models 11T740 and 11T540) at the International Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas, running from 7-10 January, 2014.
While the availability of these models in the local Australian market will be determined in 2014, the CES 2014 product unveiling is yet another example of LG providing consumers with greater convenience by enhancing their ability to view and consume content while on-the-go.
Featuring slimmer designs, the company’s latest PC products weigh less than their pfredecessors and feature refined, minimalistic form factors. With upgraded capabilities and designs, all of the company’s newest PC products will feature Windows 8.1 and employ LG’s IPS display technology, ensuring stunning colours, motion clarity and a wide viewing angle.

LG Ultrabook - Lighter for More Mobility
The LG Ultrabook (Model 13Z940) weighs less than 1kg and sports a clean, minimalist design. LG’s streamlined model offers improved processing, excellent graphics performance and an extended battery life compared to its predecessor thanks to the Haswell Intel® Core™ i5 processor. The LG Ultrabook also provides fast booting with its solid-state drive (128GB or 256GB) for quick access and user convenience.
The new LG Ultrabook has a Full HD 13.3-inch IPS display that incorporates the company’s Narrow Bezel design for a convenient 4.4mm thin bezel. The LG Ultrabook measures only 13.6mm at its thickest point and weighs in at a very travel-friendly 980g. The Ultrabook also features Reader Mode, allowing the user to alter the background of any onscreen image to resemble paper for easy reading.
LG Tab-Book™ 2 — Convenience At Your Fingertips
The latest Tab-Book™ 2 models build on the story of LG’s original Tab-Book™, which made its first appearance at CES 2013. Running Windows 8.1, both new models in the Tab-Book™ series (Models 11T740 and 11T540) offer 10-point touch control and slide-out QWERTY keyboards hidden under an 11.6-inch touch screen. With a press of a button on the side of the unit, the keyboard glides out from beneath the display for quick and easy use.
The flagship Tab-Book™ 2 (Model 11T740) is only 16.7mm thin, making it a superb solution for consumers wanting greater portability without sacrificing features. Tipping the scales at a just 1.05kg, this device incorporates an 11.6-inch Full HD IPS display with a maximum brightness of 400nit lumens for viewing outdoors. Suitable for both on-the-go entertainment and work, LG’s Tab-Book™ 2 contains a fourth generation Intel® Core™ i5 processor to deliver outstanding performance and a fantastic user experience.
