Two new refrigerators in the LG Door-in-Door range now feature the CustomChillDrawer, which allows you to choose from a set of temperatures to suit an array of foods

SYDNEY, 18 AUGUST 2015 – LG Australia (LG) has released two new fridges within its popular Door-in-Door™ range that carry the stand-out CustomChill™ Drawer technology. The two new models (GF-AD910SL and GF-AD701SL) offer pre-set temperature settings ranging from -1° to 5° separate to the main refrigerator body temperature, meaning you can now store anything from seafood through to cake at the appropriate temperatures.

Customised temperatures for your cuisine

These refrigerators are designed for food lovers who relish a deeper connection to their food, who invest in quality ingredients, and care about keeping and serving them at their appropriate temperatures. The LG CustomChill™ technology allows you to choose a pre-set temperature to suit your needs, entirely independent from the rest of the refrigerator. Consumers can set their CustomChill™ Drawer to -1°C for farm-fresh meat or seafood, 1°C for cool lagers, 3°C for deli snacks or 5°C for champagnes and sparkling wines.

Not only does the drawer help to maintain food at the appropriate temperature, but it also improves organisation with its adjustable dividers that offer customisable storage and convenience.

“Our new LG Door-in-Door refrigerator featuring CustomChill™ technology is ideal for Australian consumers,” said Jennifer Osborne, Home Appliance Marketing Manager, LG Australia. “There’s a tangible passion for food, and, particularly, the provenance of that food in Australia. We feel that Australian home chefs will see a real value in keeping their carefully selected ingredients at the optimum temperature.” LG Australia Website

Smart storage, Fresh food

The LG Door-in-Door provides quick and easy access to items that consumers use the most. Moreover, using the Door-in-Door feature reduces cold air loss by up to 41 per cent compared to opening the full door*.

Making the most of your refrigerator

LG Door-In-Door refrigerator models also boast customisable internal storage, so if you’re a home chef who likes to fill your refrigerator to the brim, no worries! The retractable shelves allow you to tailor the space to your ingredients. The French Door also includes a slim in-door ice maker that frees up internal space and allows consumers clear access to three full-width shelves, which is another great bonus for the home entertainer.

Each new model, at 701 litres (RRP $5,499) and 910 litres (RRP $5,799), also offers:

- Sleek stainless steel finish: a great addition to any kitchen design

- Pure N Fresh deodoriser system: a fan-assisted Carbon Deodoriser forces odour-filled air through the deodoriser and sends it back across three different shelving levels via the ducting.

- Inverter Linear Compressor with 10 year parts warranty: offers greater control of temperature, with less vibration and less noise than a conventional compressor system.

- Smart Diagnosis: if an error ever does occur, this refrigerator feature lets you use the LG app (or make a phone call to the LG Customer Information Centre) to help find a solution – which means less wasted time and or inconvenience at your end

- BioShield technology: door seals on LG refrigerators contain anti-bacterial agents that help prevent the growth of bacteria and mould. These agents help to maintain the integrity of the seal by protecting the door seal.

*Based on Intertek testing of refrigerator models SX5534WB, GR-S632GLRC and LFX31945ST/02, according to internal test methodology, measuring percentage reduction in exchange rate of air when opening the Door-in-Door compared to the full door for 10 seconds. Results may vary by models and duration of door opening.
