Rated 1 out of 5 by from Phone Completely Died After KitKat Update After buying a Motorola G (2nd Generation) as my main phone, I had a manufacturer issue with the battery where I had to return the phone for repair. I had my old LG Optimus L7 II as a second "go to" phone. As I grabbed it, it refused to boot or even charge. Because of KitKat causing dramas before, I assume that was the issue and just ended up throwing away the phone. No use in having a completely dead phone that doesn't work! I ended up being without a phone then for two weeks until I got my Motorola back. KitKat simply killed my old LG!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great phone Has many features, all that function well. I am not a tech wizard, so have no need for a high tech phone. This phone does much more than I can use, and does it very well. This is the third LG phone that we have had, and we have been very happy with each. So much so, that other family members have bought LG. In fact, son=in=law whose demands and expectations from his mobile phone has been sufficiently impressed to buy a new LG G3. For some it may be a matter of you get what you pay for, but compared to other brands, LG offers very good value for money, and better value than most others in my opinion. There have not been any failures, I use both SIMS and have no problem with them. Battery lasts at least as well as others I have owns and holds charge relevant to usage. One of my granddaughters has a Samsung Galaxy 4...in her words " waste of my money". From a young person, what a recommendation is that! A new phone is on the horizon for her when she has sufficient resources...what she buys we will see, but I wager it will not be Samsung. In summary, I cannot speak highly enough of the LG phones that we have had; each has served us well and only been replaced after handing them down to our younger grandkids.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Forced To Format Every Few Weeks Due To Mono Sound Hi guys. This is a update on my previous review of this phone. Since the KitKat update, I have been experiencing audio issues with Bluetooth connectivity (Stereo to Mono sound) and also with sound going Mono through the headphones. Since there is no way to fix the audio and get it back to normal, I have to constantly reset the phone to factory settings. KitKat is definitely not designed for a low-spec phone like this. More tests should have been run to make sure a phone like this could run KitKat more optimized. LG should have not allowed this phone to be upgraded from Jellybean to KitKat if it was going to cause problems. Speaking with my phone company, Telstra about the issue, they were fully aware of the issue.......obviously from all the complaints from disgruntled owners. I used to love LG products.....but with the issues I've constantly had with this phone, I don't think I will ever be buying another LG product ever again.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Do Not Upgrade To KitKat 4.4.2! Hi guys. As a owner of this phone, I made the mistake of upgrading from Jellybean to KitKat. Bad idea. Although KitKat comes with major enhancements, it will create major issues. You'll notice Chrome will crash unexpectedly, YouTube within Chrome will struggle to actually play anything, and thus, making you resort to using the actual YouTube app that comes with the phone. Another annoying feature is the fact the phone becomes rather unresponsive due to lack of RAM available and the keyboard will actually crash if using Chrome (rather annoying actually!). I suppose the only good thing about the KitKat update, is the way better audio. Dolby Digital Plus is serious sound! And I've noticed too that the battery life has actually improved quite a lot and doesn't go flat as fast as it used to....which is good I guess! Other than the slowness (from KitKat), lack of RAM, internal memory and rubbish radio......the phone is ok.....if you can put up with it! So, don't update to KitKat! If you want issues, go right ahead! But like I say, stay with Jellybean!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from LG Optimus L7 ii P716 Reasonable and good phone for the cost, great camera and battery, overall runs well, sometimes a bit weak (slow) but generally enough to run all common apps. Touch screen sometimes delayed in input. Screen is large and great to dial, sms etc. Keypad is great. No big problems and overall good phone. Upgraded to kit kat, no slow down as others have experienced. Battery been great.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Nice size, easy to read numbers. Disappointed by the length of battery charge. I have nothing installed, no Wi Fi, Bluetooth, Internet etc, I am 64 and just wanted a phone for emergency use and to text my family, or for my family to ring me. I am having to charge it daily, even when I don';t use it. If I leave the phone turned on I just watch the battery life draining down. Screen saver is only on for 15secs so I cannot make the battery charge last any longer. Every day I need to charge it and I haven't even made a call on it yet. I don't use or need any of the gadgets available on this phone, but apart from length of charge on the battery I do like the phone.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Horrible Phone I would rather a non-functional iphone 3 than this piece of disfunctional piece of machinery. The software takes up most of the space. Constantly removing apps because they take up too much disk space. Not very compatible with an sd card. Touchscreen works only when it wants too and even that is mediocre at best. Vibrating horribly insufficient. Constantly missing calls. Extremely disappointed with this product. Knock-on feature works occasionally and dual sd-card is very clunky. Would not recommend to anyone.
