What Do The Letters "DVD" Actually Stand For?

DVD stands for “Digital Versatile Disc”. DVDs can be used for storing video, audio, still image, or computer data. Many people refer to DVD as a Digital Video Disc, however, technically, this is not correct.

What is HDMI?

However, an HDMI output, can transfer a digital video and audio source signal (such as from a DVD player) digitally, without conversion to analogue. This results in a pure transfer of all of video information from the digital video source to a HDMI or DVI (via a connection adapter) equipped TV. The Upscaling Process
