Blackest blacks, brightest whites, great colour in between The picture quality is fantastic. IPS really is everything they say it is. I can't comment too much on the SmartTV aspects as I hook mine up to a PC and use that for all the "smart" features I need. But I poked around a bit and it's relatively easy to use. Wi-fi connected right away, automatically updated itself. I can see how the "magic" remote would be annoying if you use it for regular TV and need channel flippers, but I mostly use it for on and off, so I appreciate the smaller size. Actually, I really like the simplicity of the remote, it's easy to memorize where the buttons are so you're not squinting in a darkened room -- all the would-be buttons pop up on the screen. There's a "1-2-3" button that pops up a number pad for quick channel changing, so really there's nothing to complain about, unless you specifically favour out-of-date technology. The pointer does take some getting used to, but it's not a major hurdle. Settings and setup are really well done. There's a Picture Wizard where you get the blacks, whites, saturation, sharpness, etc, to your specific tastes and lighting, etc. It's really easy to use, very straightforward, and very effective at producing a fantastic picture. Like any modern TV, it has all kinds of fandangled features for improving the image (line sharpening, dynamic contrast, etc.) I played around with them and got some improvement, but it still looks pretty good without that. Bottom line: To me, the most important aspect of any TV is the picture quality. Interface and remotes are all irrelevant if the picture quality is garbage. This TV delivers a fantastic picture quality, and I have no complaints about the rest. 3 November 2014
Wifi connectivity It takes a lil while to connect to the wifi after turning it on. Not sure if it's normal Any clue 25 October 2014
Cannot watch catchup tv Fantastic picture quality. Magic remote is easy to master and use. Setting up the TV and wireless took less than 10 minutes. But, I will not recommend this TV because, Adobe Flash is not compatible. And the operating system is legacy system 2 December 2014
Still no Freeview or Flash Player :-( Overall this is a really good TV and I'm really happy with it....however I can confirm the problems that other people are having with these type of smart TV's I am experiencing too! For instance - no freeview and it doesn't look like it will happen any time soon! I'm missing my favourite shows as through the antenna the auto tune only finds 18 digital channels. Main reason for buying the TV was for freeview. LG PLEASE CAN YOU SORT OUT THE SOFTWARE before I lose some credibility for the company. Flash player still isn't available. Also the EPG won't load all the channels - if you're on 7 it will only show the rest of the 7 channels as in 71,72,73 etc. Other channels are blank. I find the magic remote no problem, it's new and different and it takes a little bit of getting used to. I quite like it :-) Would have given a higher rating if it wasn't for the issues. 28 November 2014
Great easy to use TV with lots of features Great picture. Wide viewing angles, powerful and easy to use magic remote. Found the menus very easy to use and really liked the ability to customise the menu order. Really liked scrolling with the magic remote to change channels. No problems using Smartshare to access remote content or online services including Youtube or Iview. 4 November 2014
