Love it, so glad I made the purchase
My floors look awesome and it even gets all the dust/fluff that collects on the felt pads under furniture with its little brushes. I did have a problem wit a 8cm pile shag rug, the rug is so high I thought it would see it as an object but it still tries to clean it and it gets caught in the long pile. Problem is solved by leaving the dry mop attachment on the unit, it then doesn't try to go over anything higher than 5mm. Perfect!

Underwellming for the price
I bought this product a week ago and it is doing a fantasic job. I'm impressed with the cleaning. However, it would be good to have the day scheduler with the ability to skip days or single days. Also the robot has got stuck in a few places more than once. Over time, I hope there is a firmware update to add features and correct any issues, Don't take this as a negative as the Roboking square is fantastic, but with a few tweaks it could be awsome.

I did a lot of research on robot vacuums before I bought this one. Marvin is awesome, he is quiet, he cleans our wooden floors at the touch of a button and was great on the carpet in the bedroom - so nice to get rid of the dust bunnies from under the bed without any effort. No setup or virtual walls needed just press the button and off he goes. Dust bin is easily accessed from top of the unit and takes secs to empty. It docks with no problems (I followed the advice of the salesperson and made sure the docking station was secure to the wall). I also got a surge protector for the docking station. Simple, effective and a joy to watch AND my floors are clean...love it :)

Good product but the technology has a long way to go.
Bought the VR6270LVMB for my mother, the product is well made and sturdy. However its not all that is expected from a $800 investment.
The vacuum does not work that well on carpet that has a high or thick pile it seems to struggle with movement and sounds as if it is straining. It also gets stuck behind coffee tables that have legs that are smaller than 25mm. I watched as it banged itself against the leg of the coffee table unable to negotiate itself around it, I had to turn it off and move it to a new area.
On the tile floor it was fantastic moved around the furniture and cleaned with no problem at all. It did have an issue finding its dock and this took about three minutes before it could find home.
The other issue is that you can not program the vacuum to remember to vacuum a certain area of the floor. You can use the remote to drive the vacuum around an area and then it will vacuum that area but it does not remember that area for the next vacuum. Which is disappointing because I wanted to buy a product that would remember the settings in my parents house and do those rooms only.
The technology is rather new and whilst my parents love it, there are improvements that can be made.
1. A memory so it can be set to vacuum certain areas only everyday.
2. The ability to vacuum thick carpet.
3. Better sensors to negotiate around smaller objects.
It is a very good product and worth the money if you have tiled or hardwood floors however I would not purchase one if I had carpet in the house.

money well spent!!
We just bought the roboking on the weekend and it is amazing. After a lot of research what sold us was the mapping technology and it is a joy to watch. We have two dogs and the roboking cleans as well as our top brand vacuum cleaner but without the noise and effort. And people said cleaning fairies dont exist.
