LG Electronics has adopted the Life Cycle Assessment [LCA] system for its product development and carries out the development of its eco-products in stages.
The LG Electronics notebook computer has lowered the consumption of standby electricity to less than 1 watt by making use of an EcoSmart Green IC and ACPI (Advanced Configuration Power Interface), along with compatible power control. Manufacturers have also reduced total energy consumption by designing the product to consume less energy, making use of power management and efficient technologies such as ULV CPU.
The amount of noise emitted by the computer has also been reduced thanks to a fan that uses a silent blade. And it's highly effective when it comes to saving resources, as it's much lighter than other, existing models. Certified by Korea's Eco-labeling Program, this PC has been deemed an environmentally safe and efficient product, throughout its life-from planning, design, and production, to distribution, use, and disposal.
It's also been produced without six hazardous substances called out by the EU's RoHS, in order to comply with their directive.
