The Inside Ride is Canada’s first indoor cycling challenge dedicated to supporting children with cancer. Through this LG-sponsored event, much needed funding is generated for oncology camps, community support programs, research scholarships and a variety of other initiatives.
What’s the Challenge of Leucan? It’s a fun-filled event that features 12 hours of skiing in support of cancer research. LG was there for every second of the action, handing out bags of popcorn while watching the four members of each team hurtle down the slopes once an hour, for 12 straight hours.
The Relay for Life is an inspiring, overnight event that is held by the Canadian Cancer Society each year. Throughout the relay, the friends and families of those who have lost their battles with cancer, as well as survivors themselves, come together to celebrate life and fight this terrible disease. Through Future Shop, LG was given the opportunity to help support this great cause.
When Ken Pederson, an employee from The Brick with cancer of the larynx, approached LG regarding sponsorship support for his charity golf tournament, LG couldn’t help but say yes. In addition to sponsoring the event, LG gave away a 50" Plasma TV for the straightest drive competition – as well a Smart BluRay player for the silent auction and more.
The LG Innovators Ball is an annual event that recognizes and celebrates the contributions of Canadian leaders and innovators. Through this event, funds are raised for Adopt-a-Class – a program that provides free class visits to the Ontario Science Centre.

Each year, in April, this event showcases all things "green". At the Green Living Show, LG showcases environmentally friendly products and innovations, and helps to provide insights and ways for small business owners, and large corporations, to shrink our collective ecological footprint.
On the weekend of August 25th, 2012, Balloonapalooza transformed downtown Windsor into a kaleidoscope of colour. This LG-sponsored event featured more than 80 cold air balloons - as well as an array of activities for people of all ages. It also generated significant revenue for local businesses and helped to brand Windsor as an attractive family destination.
At the 3rd annual Manitoba Lotteries Barge Festival, 64,000 people got a chance to experience cutting-edge, LG technology. For three days, LG appliances and home electronics products were on full display at the event, which celebrates the immigrants who founded the Red River Selkirk Settlement. One lucky participant even won a top load laundry set.
This past spring, LG played a big part in bringing the Montreal Home Show to life. The 10-day event, which attracted more than 320,000 people, featured everything a consumer would need to know about the renovation and home design industry – as well as a whole suite of new, innovative LG products.
LG employees across the country were deeply affected by the Elliot Lake Mall tragedy. They were also incredibly inspired by the heroic efforts of the workers, and officers, that worked tirelessly to save the lives of those who were inside the mall when it collapsed. In an effort to support these brave men and women, LG purchased energy bars and cases of water and brought them directly to the scene of the accident.
