What You Need to Know about All Phones

Can I Share Music From My Computer with My Phone?

LG has worked diligently to make transferring music from your computer to your phone extremely easy. While each phone has slight variations, the following instructions are pretty standard: simply connect the USB cable to your PC, select Synchronize Your Music, expand the All My Music playlist, and click and drag an album to your phone. It’s that simple. In some cases, you can also store more music to your microSD™ card to take with you wherever you go.

LG Design Philosophy for Mobile Phones

Today's mobile networking allows for a truly wireless, global communications system—offering virtually unrestricted access to a world of information via multiple multimedia devices. At LG we hope to facilitate the creation of a customer-oriented, all-encompassing service network by producing mobile technologies that enable the merging all data forms into one.

LG’s goal—unchanged from the start—is to connect with consumers by using sophisticated design and advanced technology to create a unique and desirable lifestyle tool. Handsets designed to meet every user’s need. Our recent focus has been on introducing the best-looking phones, without sacrificing any advanced features—and we will continue to lead in this area specialized in the months and years to come.

Leading The Way to The Future of Technology and Design

LG Electronics develops top-quality, core technologies such as CDMA (channel access method of multiple users sending information simultaneously over a single channel), GSM (global system for mobile communications), UMTS (WCDMA, or universal telecommunications systems), and HSDPA (high speed download packet access), and offers services based on the most advanced mobile communication environment.

LG is the frontrunner in the CDMA market thanks to its many years of technological research and product development. We’ve also achieved outstanding success in the GSM category in terms of top-quality, unbeatable product development capabilities. LG will continue its progress toward industry-leading competitiveness with its UMTS (WCDMA) and HSDPA handsets using world-class technologies such as mobile TV and 3G technology.

LG makes mobile phones with superior technology and designs that deliver value to customers. To achieve this, LG makes every effort to anticipate customers' needs and surpass them with premium products.

How Many Megapixels Do I Really Need?

The answer lies in what you plan on doing with your picture and how you’re going to do it.

A 1.3 or 2 MP camera is fine if you just want to capture life’s memorable moments, send them to friends and family, and post them on the web. It’s only when you want to blow up images, or manipulate the image in some other way, that pixel size matters. If that’s the case, 7MP and up will work best. In short, more pixels mean more flexibility. Thankfully, LG covers the gamut of pixel sizes to suit all your needs.

Get your hands on the Dare™. It boasts a 3-inch touch screen with impressive handwriting recognition. Take pics with the 3.2 megapixel camera & camcorder with advance features like face detection. Dare to be different.

How do I use my Phone to Browse the Web?

LG’s goal with web browsing on a phone is to make the experience as similar to browsing on your computer—only smaller. Take, for instance, the LG Voyager: With just a few taps of its slick touch screen you’re off and browsing. Tap the center to access the shortcut menu, tap the browser, rotate the phone for horizontal viewing, tap the WWW button, type in the web address on the virtual keyboard, tap OK—and surf away.

Thanks to optimized browsing, you can also download a more digestible version of any page (e.g. 10–15 seconds for CNN.com vs. the normal 45–90 seconds) so it not only downloads faster, but you don’t have to waste a lot of time scrolling through pages. Faster speeds are due to smaller download sizes (e.g.: 50–100 kB/page vs. the normal 500kB+ for CNN.com’s homepage) as smaller sections are compressed before being sent to the browser (e.g.: images are reduced to a displayable size of the handset). And, unsupported content can sometimes be adapted to another format, so as not to interrupt use (such as Flash being adapted to animated GIFs). In sum: it all adds up to a fast, efficient, and fun way to browse the web—anywhere, anytime.
