MISSISSAUGA, March 2, 2007 --- Today marks an exciting day for movie enthusiasts across Canada with the much anticipated launch of the LG Electronics Super Blu High Definition player. Having won an innovation award at CES, the player effectively ends the format war by allowing consumers to play both Blu Ray and HD DVDs on one player in the comfort of their own home.

Engineered using the LG’s innovative Multi Laser Optical system, the LG Super Blu is the first HD player in the Canadian market that is capable of playing Blu-Ray, HD-DVD and regular DVD discs seamlessly as well as a full range of other A/V formats (MPEG-2, VC-1, H.264 video, MPEG1/2, Dolby Digital, Dolby Digital+, DTS and DTS-HD audio).
