LG Canada Appoints Mike Lombardo Vice President, Sales and Marketing, Mobile Communications
Former VP and GM of Dell’s Consumer Business in Europe, Middle East and Africa will bring new passion for market success to the role
Mississauga, ON, January 6, 2010 - LG Electronics Canada today announced the appointment of
Mike Lombardo to the position of Vice President (VP) of Sales & Marketing for the Mobile Communications Group. Mr. Lombardo brings broad experience to the role having led domestic and international teams for both AT&T and most recently, Dell.

As the number two player in the mobile communications market in Canada, Mr. Lombardo is a significant strategic hire for LG at a time when the convergence of consumer electronics and mobile communications are rapidly changing an entire industry landscape. LG Canada has its sights set on achieving the top position in 2010 and has set robust growth prospects for the division.
In his role as VP, Mr. Lombardo will be instrumental in developing overall business strategy as well as driving key sales and marketing initiatives alongside LG`s valuable carrier and consumer partners. He will be an important player in helping to set and execute this strategy with the talented team at LG Canada, reporting directly to Eric Agius, President, LG Canada.

Mr. Lombardo joins LG Canada after 10 years at Dell, with diverse and broad experiences, including having helped launch major retail and telco partnerships for Dell in Europe, including Vodafone, Tesco, Carrefour and Dixons Stores Group. Prior to that, he was the General Manager for the Consumer Business in Latin America and Canada, following 4 years as the General Manager for the Dell Canada Consumer and Small Business portfolios. Previous to Dell, Mr. Lombardo worked at AT&T for over 10 years in various senior roles in sales, marketing, operations and general management.
