LG celebrates the latest in Cinematic Style with the virtually borderless SL80 HDTV
Toronto, October 19, 2009 - LG Electronics Canada previewed its newest ultra slim HDTV amongst Canada’s fashion forward today at Opening Night of LG Fashion Week in Toronto. The LG SL80 series made its trend-setting debut, offering consumers a new cinematic experience with endless entertainment and design possibilities.
The SL80 series features a single edge-to-edge panel of glass over an ultra-slim bezel creating a seamless, sophisticated look that turns heads whether the TV is on or off. LG’s exclusive Invisible Speaker design further accentuates the seamless style by eliminating large speaker grills for a more streamlined aesthetic.

Packing advanced technology into a beautiful design, the SL80 is ideal for movie buffs. The model incorporates full 1080p viewing and LG’s exclusive TruMotion 240Hz blur-reducing technology to provide consumers with a smoother, seamless viewing experience. For a complete home theatre, the SL80 has a dynamic contrast ratio of 150,000:1 for amazing clarity and colour detail, even during fast-action movie scenes.
To further the cinematic viewing experience, LG also chose to premiere select submissions from the Fashion & Music category of the LG Life’s Good FilmFest at LG Fashion Week. The LG Life’s Good FilmFest is a global film competition open to budding movie makers of all skill sets and abilities. Unlike most film festivals, the Life’s Good FilmFest is free to enter for film-makers, and free and open for all to enjoy this fall. The final deadline for submissions was October 16th, and the LG Life’s Good FilmFest Panel is in the process of determining quarter-finalists for each category.
