WILL NOT DISPENSE DETERGENT

A small amount of water left in the dispenser tray compartments after a wash is normal. If your detergent is not dispensing, there are two areas that you would need to check to try and resolve this:

Detergent Compartment

Bleach & Softener Compartment

Detergent Compartment

If detergent is remaining in the blue detergent tray insert, you will want to ensure that the liquid detergent that you are using carries the “HE” logo. Follow the manufacturer’s recommended amount for detergent usage.

If you opt to use a powdered HE detergent, remove the blue liquid insert from the drawer and place the powdered detergent in the cavity where the blue insert was. The powdered detergent will remain in place until the washer floods that compartment with water. If the blue insert was not removed, it will likely not siphon out resulting in the tray remaining full of soap and water at the end of the cycle.

Detergent will gradually build up in the detergent tray and its attachments over time. If these are not cleaned regularly, the water and additives will not dispense fully and water will remain in the compartments.

Pull the dispenser drawer towards you until it stops.

Press down on the depressed tab between the softener and bleach inserts.

While pressing down on the tab mentioned above, pull the drawer toward you. The detergent tray will completely remove from the front of the washer.

With the drawer removed, each compartment piece can be removed.

Clean each piece with warm, soapy water in a kitchen sink. Clean inside the tray compartment, particularly the top where the water comes out. DO NOT place these pieces in an automatic dishwasher, as they are not dishwasher safe.

Once each piece is clean, reassemble the dispenser pieces ensuring they are attached properly and reinsert the detergent tray.

Tip: It is important that the detergent tray be cleaned periodically to ensure your additives dispense correctly. A good time to clean the dispenser would be when performing other routine maintenance on your washer.

Bleach & Softener Compartment

Some fabric softeners are very thick, and may not siphon well. You can still continue to use this softener, however for future loads you may need to dilute the softener half and half with water to thin the softener out so it will siphon easier.

Make sure the trays and all inserts are inserted correctly. If they are not assembled properly the detergent compartments may not siphon correctly.
