INTERNAL / EXTERNAL MEMORY

INTERNAL / EXTERNAL MEMORY

Most cell phones have either standard or as an option two types of memory. Depending on how your phone is setup will determine which memory location your personal content is stored.

- Internal memory, sometimes called system memory, is used by the phone to store things like phone settings, applications, text messages, and emails.

* Note: If your phone gives you a low memory error it is usually referring to the internal memory.

- External memory refers to a memory card that can be installed in your phone. This memory is used for user content like photos, videos, and music. After installing a memory card you may need to go to your settings menu and set which content you want to store on the memory card.
