BENEFITS OF REPLACING BATTERY
Refreshing power source by replacing battery
Replacing the battery is one way of prolonging phone’s battery lifespan.
1. The lifespan of a battery may get shortened over tie pending how much often it has been recharged.
The battery life is related to the number of times recharged.
Battery life is generally shortened to 80% of its initial value after 300–500 times recharged.
Lithium secondary batteries mostly used in electronic products such as phones and notebook PCs have fast increasing internal resistance and may cause slowing down of chemical reaction and recharging after 300 times recharged.
It is better to change the battery when its lifespan has been shortened due to numerous times recharged.
In the same way a primary battery or 1.5 volt battery should be disposed of in an environmentally sound certified compound after it has been used once, the lithium ion battery also has a lifespan after which it must be replaced with a new one.
2. The performance of a battery may deteriorate due to natural discharging after being idling for a long period of time.
If a battery idles at a voltage lower than a specific level, it will slowly lose its charge until it is completely discharged.
Recharge the battery first before letting it idle for a long period of time.
An idling battery must be recharged at least every three months.
It is recommended to store a battery at 10~30 degrees Celsius.
