What People Are Saying

Rated 5 out of 5 by from So far so good... Like all of you, I read all the reviews with many in the 5 star range and only a few 1 star. I was very worried that I might get a lemon or worse, a flawed model. I also wondered if these scores were fake since this is the LG site. Luckily my unit is totally satisfying and I am giving it 5 stars so far. We use it probably 3-5 times a week (due to elderly parents and a dog). Clothes are always dry (although I sometimes wonder if the 'normal' setting does dry it longer then it needs). There is a bit of a rubber smell but it's less and less each time and not on our clothes. It is weird that there is no lint trap but cleaning the lint off the door and rubber seems to be where it goes since these units don't have air pumped in. Clothes are very dry. I was worried since as mentioned there isn't a vent nor having the high power of 240volts. Still, the heat is very hot and whatever it does seems to work. There is no water or condensation after the cycle is done. I have an outlet for 240 volts and an air vent hose (from my previous washer/dryer) but not having to use it and still getting dry stuff is amazing. I must admit it does take a few hours per full wash/dry cycle (like 3hours on average) but I like not thinking about it. It's a big cost but so far, it was worth it and I'm happy. Bought at the Lowes Hardware Store in Toronto, Canada.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice large washer/dryer combo Exceptional washing, drying take a little longer than expected. I wish I could eliminate the end of cycle tone feature since I run the machine in the evenings and do not want to hear the signal that the dryer in completed at night. Rated 4 out of 5 by from I purchased this product due to limited space. I have seen them on HGTV. The only downside is that it takes quite some time to dry a load of clothes. It took about 4 hours to dry 4 pairs of jeans. Will just have to put fewer pairs in . [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Still getting used to the new. We have had this machine for nearly a month now. I almost immediately noticed a huge drop in my electric and water usages versus our old stacking washer/dryer. There are a few things to know if you plan to buy. First, you will have to relearn how to do laundry. These types of combo machines are VERY different. Sort by type of material then color. Even then, the laundry will take a longer time than you are used to. So for a family of four, you will be doing at least two loads a day depending on the age of the family members. Second, preventative maintenance is essential, cleaning out the rubber seal after every completed cycle keeps the machine clean. It is a pain in the rear as well. I suggest using a wet microfiber cloth, as it has worked the best for us. Also the lint trap at the bottom front corner of the machine is hard to drain effectively if you don't have a pedestal for the machine. Third, it shoots out a LOT of lint in the rinse water. So much so, that our overflow sink had backed up and I had to use the plumber's snake to clean it out. Use a screen and be prepared to pull and clean it after the main wash cycles are completed. Lastly, it would be nice if the machine was a Bluetooth or WiFi capable model that we could control with the Smart ThinQ app and that it would come with a dry only setting. These negatives are manageable and do not outweigh the positives. The washer was able to get some stains out of clothes that we thought were permanent! They have been there for years and now are gone! The sanitary cycle is a wonder. The clothes have been coming out cleaner and softer than ever. The machine is very quiet, it is in a closet in our bedroom, and we can put a load in right before bed and have it run without waking us. The larger size is THE greatest, now we don't have to wash our comforters at the laundromat because the machine can handle them beautifully! I have recommended this machine to several friends who are also in need of a space saving option for cleaning their linens. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5 out of 5 by from It works as advertised! We needed a washer/dryer the would fit in our limited space, and still do it's job of washing and drying. The LG washer/dryer was the right pick for us. Highly recomend it to all that has limited space. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
