New deal to boost sales and provide exposure to education sector
Slough, 24 June 2010 – LG Electronics is pleased to announce it has signed up a new distribution partner, Micro Peripherals, to help increase exposure and drive sales of the LG large format display range across the UK B2B and education sectors.
Established in 1980, Micro Peripherals (Micro P) is one of the oldest and largest distributors of IT and technical products to the UK reseller market. As one of the world’s leading producers of electronics products – including flat panel TVs and audio and video products, LG has a long established and productive relationship with Micro P involving other product ranges. The new deal to extend LG’s distribution network for large format display units via Micro P will provide access to a whole new reseller database. Further, the formation of Micro P’s dedicated education team will help create exposure for LG’s large format displays within the important and growing education sector.
The growing importance of digital signage displays throughout the corporate and retail spaces has boosted market demands. To answer this, LG created a range of large format display units comprising 12 models in the M29 series with screen sizes ranging from 29” to 65”. As part of its strategy for delivering innovative and green technology for business, LG large format display solutions are also designed to help organisations of all sizes to save energy, money and the environment.
Warren Lewis, LG’s General Manager, Business Solutions who has worked with Micro P for many years, is delighted with the new signing: “The time is right to expand our distribution,” he says.
“This new agreement with Micro P adds a new dimension to LG displays and will increase our reseller breadth and coverage. We still provide the channel with a unique route to market but now with three official distribution partners – Midwich, Medium and now Micro P,” adds Lewis.
