Which cable do I use to connect a set-top box to TV
Symptom
Connect peripherals (DVD, blue ray, PC, game console, set-top box, etc.) to TV by following the step listed below.
How to fix
- External input connection
Connect A/V (yellow/red) cable to video (yellow)/audio right (white)/audio left (red) output terminals, then these are connected to external input terminals video (yellow)/audio left (white)/audio right (red) on the back of TV depending on colors
※ Some models need a converter.
- Connect component
Connect green/red/blue to video output terminal and white/red to audio output terminal then connect the opposite side to component terminal on the back of TV by matching colors, green/red/blue and white/red
※ Some models need a converter.
- Connect HDMI
Connect to HDMI output terminal, then connect it to HDMI input terminal on the back of TV
How to change into external input mode
After completing connection based on the method mentioned above, press external input button of remote control to send input to the connected terminal.
When it comes to magic motion remote control, press 123/external input button for a long time, then external input menu appears. Select input mode which you wan to change, and relevant input mode is operated.
※ For magic motion remote control manufactured in 2011~2013, Home → External input.
For magic motion remote control manufactured in 2014, press “123/external input” button for a long time then external input menu appears.
For magic motion remote control manufactured after 2014, press “external input icon” then external input menu appears.
