I am a Marketing Assistant Manager in charge of strategies, promotions, and brand image for the LGEPS division. The most rewarding thing for me is feeling passionate about my work, and here at LG I do. I'm aiming to create high-level brand value and an exclusive branding image for all of Latin America.

Q: Please introduce yourself.

A: My name is Michael Gallardo Linares; I'm 28 years old and have worked for LG since 2001. I am a Marketing MBA graduate and a System Engineer graduate specializing in e-business.

Q: Would you please describe your job?

A: I am a Marketing Assistant Manager, in charge of strategies, media negotiations, promotions and brand image for the LGEPS division, supervising the ATL(Above the Line) and BTL(Below the Line) areas, except PR.

Q: Please tell us about the company (subsidiary) you are affiliated with.

A: LGEPS covers all of Central America, plus Venezuela and Ecuador. Since January 2007 the new president has increased our area of operation to South & Central America, and has also upgraded the marketing department to Marketing Chief Office for C.&S.A., thereby increasing our management area to Peru, Colombia and Chile.

Q: What were the primary reasons for selecting LG Electronics as your company of choice?

A: At that time, the brand identity had just changed and the brand was well-publicized in Panama. The fact that the first PDP was to be launched also focused my interest in LG, a growing Korean brand, with a fresh image and most importantly: a multinational corporation with numerous opportunities to grow in the company and develop a professional career.

Q: During your time at LG Electronics, what has been most rewarding?

A: The most rewarding thing is "passion for work". When employees put a lot into their work and are successful, they receive the rewards from their boss.

Q: Can you tell us of your vision and future goals for your work at LGE?

A: My vision at LG is to create one of the strongest brands in Latin America, that has a good market presence and launches the best technological products. Create high level brand value and an exclusive branding image for all of Latin America. Also, on a personal level I'm expecting to grow to higher positions within company where I can develop effective strategies to make LG a successful brand in the region.
