Mr. Paul Bae has been working as an executive vice president and head at the LG Electronics Corporate Design Center since his appointment in December, 2007. As head of LG Electronics' Corporate Design Center, Mr. Bae strives to create an organization that balances creativity with rationality and aims to create an environment in which designers can openly demonstrate their innovative ideas. Moreover, Mr. Bae is emphasizing the importance of design as key differentiator and is strong supporter of developing designs based on consumer insights.

Prior to his role at the helm of the LG Electronics Corporate Design Center, he served as a leader of the product planning and marketing teams in the Mobile Communication business unit from 2001 to 2007. During his tenure, Mr. Bae set the consumer-oriented marketing direction based on his in-depth industry insights.

Mr. Bae also worked at the office of the LG Group chairman from 1995 to 2000. In this role, he was in charge of corporate level innovation activities and strategic planning. Through the experience, Mr. Bae honed key business skills, including strategic thinking and problem solving.

Mr. Bae's career at LG Electronics began in 1984 as an engineer in the Audio and Video department. Based on insights gained from his diverse experiences across the R&D, marketing and strategic planning disciplines, Mr. Bae now works to redefine the role design plays in both LG's business and consumers' lives.
