  Relocated Corporate Design Center to Seocho R&D Campus

• 2008

  Establishes design center in London

• 2006

  Announces design management

  LG Electronics announces its "design management" concept to develop design-oriented products and provide differentiated values to captivate the customers' emotions

• 2002

  Launches LG Electronics Corporate Design Center

  Integrates three design research centers and LSR (Life Soft Research) Lab for each product group

  Establishes design centers in Italy and India

In 1990s

• 1995

  LG Electronics General Design Research Center

  Changes corporate title to "LG," and launches the LG Digital Design Center

• 1993

  Establishes design centers in the U.S. and Japan

• 1991

  Establishes a design center in Ireland

  Employs experienced and sophisticated European designers to move one step closer to the competition in the domestic electronics industry, and also provides a chance to prepare for the globalization of LG Electronics

  Establishes the GoldStar General Design Research Center
