LG Electronics (CEO Yong Nam / www.lg.com) took part in the IFA 2008 (Internationale Funkausstellung), Europe’s largest exhibition, held from August 29 to September 3.
At the exhibition, using the motto 'Smart technology, Smarter living’, LG Electronics introduced a state-of-the-art product lineup including LCD TV, PDP TV, Blu-ray, home theater, and Art home appliances in a 2.657 m² (approx. 803 pyeong) booth.
The LCD•PDP TV on display offers more convenience with its Bluetooth feature and the 100Hz full HD LCD TV lineup ensures a sharp image with no afterimage.
LG Electronics also revealed its Blu-ray (BD-300), ready for gearing to the next generation DVD market, as well as an eye-catching, stylish DVD player with an innovative design and a 10-inch Net Book equipped with Intel Atom Processor.
The home appliance sector, which was participating for the first time in the IFA, introduced a wide range of new products including Art home appliances, a steam washing machine, 4-door refrigerator and built-in home appliances.
The LG7000 LCD TV has picture quality to match, boasting full HD resolution, a 50,000:1 contrast ratio with TruMotion 100Hz. The LG7000 LCD TV has a new feature, Bluetooth connectivity, which allows viewers to see photos or listen to music, stored on compatible devices, on the TV. It also allows viewers to connect Bluetooth headphones without wires getting in the way. In addition, it has an Intelligent Sensor to optimize picture quality elements by using an RGB sensor that senses color temperature and illumination of the surrounding environment. An invisible speaker system tuned by audio guru Mr. Mark Levinson completes the LG7000’s unique viewing experience.

The full HD 1080p ready PG7000 plasma series delivers a high-quality home entertainment experience in 50- and 60-inch screen sizes. It also has a Super Bright Panel to ensure a top quality contrast ratio of 1,000,000:1 as well as clarity and brightness while eliminating optical glare with minimal light reflection.
PG7000 has a new feature, Bluetooth connectivity, which allows viewers to connect Bluetooth headphones without wires getting in the way. Like all of LG’s TVs, the PG7000 includes the Dual XD Engine, and image processing system that optimizes picture quality for any type of content.

The LG6100, LG’s flagship LCD TV for 2008, is the world’s slimmest LCD TV at just 45 mm. Built around a 100Hz full HD LCD panel, the LG6100, which has been developed to give its audience an optimal viewing experience, includes AV Mode and Expert Mode picture calibrating picture quality.
The AV Mode allows the picture to be viewed in Cinema Mode, Sport Mode and Game Mode. LG Expert mode was certified by the ISF (Imaging Science Foundation) picture quality calibration institution. In addition, it has an Intelligent Sensor to optimize picture quality elements by using an RGB sensor that senses color temperature and illumination of the surrounding environment. It also reduces power consumption by 50 percent.

LG Electronics, who once led the video market with 'Super Blu', presented the Blu-ray Player (BD-300).
With a stronger network function, the BD300 is equipped with BD-Live features for its users to enjoy movies or games on the Internet.
Also, Simple Link technology means the user can easily operate the product using a TV remote control.
This product boasts superb sound quality that harmonizes with high definition, supporting a novel high-quality format like Dolby-Tru HD, DTS-HD etc.

LG Electronics also introduced the 10-inch Net Book (X110) with a built-in Intel Atom Processor.
The product guarantees enhanced usability and combines an 80 G hard disk and keyboard with a slim, streamlined design.
Standout features include wireless LAN or 3G HSPA (High Speed Packet Access).

Having already revealed its 4-door refrigerator to the US market, LG Electronics revealed this product to the European market. The 4-door refrigerator boasts enhanced usability in comparison to the previous 3-door refrigerator.
The refrigerator has two freezer drawers, meaning that the user can organize and store foods more conveniently. This also minimizes the risk of strain to the back when the user bends down to take out food.
By engraving patterns on a stainless material using 'etching' technology, one of the PDP rear-plate technologies, and finishing with tempered glass, LG Electronics created an elegant and spectacular feel.

Following last year's world-first vacuum cleaner with automatic Dust Compression Technology, LG Electronics presented another product with enhanced performance, usability and hygiene.
With the automatic dust compression system, the Rotablade rotates continuously from side to side and compacts the dust intake forming solid dust cubes so that it is more hygienic when removing dust from the product. For this feature, it is gaining popularity in Europe.
