LG Electronics has set up its 1368-square-meter booth with the theme "Smart Life, Smart LG" at KES 2010—the largest home appliances fair in Korea held from October 12 to 15 at KINTEX in Ilsan.
The latest display products are being showcased, including the world’s first and largest Nano Full LED TV (LEX8), the 31-inch 3D OLED TV (LEX9) and the world’s first THX 3D-certified TV (PX950).
As for mobile phones on show in the booth, we can see not only the Optimus One (SU370, KU3700, LU3700), Optimus7(E900), Optimus 7Q(C900) and other flagship handsets from both the domestic and overseas markets, but also other handsets scheduled to be launched before the end of this year.
Having launched the first 3D notebook model in Korea last July, LG Electronics has unveiled its impressive new 3D product line-up, including the "A510 series" offering a full 3D experience.
The home appliance exhibition zone employed a green campaign concept to embody LG Electronics’ corporate image as an environmentally friendly enterprise which always puts environment first.
NANO FULL LED TV
At 0.88 cm deep and with a bezel 1.25 cm thick, the slim-design LEX8 boasts the highest image quality through LG Electronics' own nano-lighting technology. The Nano Full LED and the TruMotion 480 Hz technology are employed to produce much more vivid and smooth 3D images. It also utilizes various smart functions for viewing KBS, KBO, YouTube videos, Google’s web album service Picasa and other content on the Internet for free. In addition, the smart network playback function is supported, which wirelessly plays movie and music files stored on a mobile phone, PMP or PC on the TV.

INFINIA FULL LED TV
This is the world’s largest LED TV with full LED backlight. As implementing a full LED backlight on a screen as large as 72 inches requires intricate production processes, other manufacturers still have not attempted such a product. The premium borderless design not only supports the large screen well, but makes the TV the perfect fit for the lounge. The TV is equipped with LG Electronics’ own display technology at full LED 480 Hz. In particular, the 3D imaging on the 72-inch screen provides a completely blown-away experience compared to those 50-inch products.

OPTIMUS ONE
Web browsing is much faster with powerful real Android 2.2. The tethering function also allows sharing of the Internet connection for up to eight users. Also provided are "smurf apps" which are a collection of the latest useful apps, such as weight management, ringtone maker, fake ringtone (for self-protection), and radio app, as well as the "life innovation app" which is a collection of useful apps such as OSP, LG Air Sync, Koscom Securities, and Smart Reader. Among real Google services, the latest services, such as voice IME allows you to enter text by voice in the search window, SMS or email, and the voice search function allows web searching without entering text, using the voice alone.

LG DIOS Magic Door Refrigerator
The "DIOS Magic Door Refrigerator" is Korea’s largest refrigerator with even more room in the upper part of the fridge. It also supports height adjustment depending on the size and purpose of the storage content, providing better use of the product. It makes better use of space as its height and width dimensions are the same as previously, but its capacity has increased to 801 liters. Power consumption is kept at the lowest level with its fourth generation linear compressor and high-efficiency heat insulator. It is also the world’s first refrigerator with a magic door which replaces the old home-bar concept. In terms of design, luxurious and modern designs by Korean artists SangRim Ha and YeonJoo Ham have been added to the new design by the Italian designer Mendini which was introduced last year.

DIOS Kimchi Refrigerator Quad
The product boasts excellent use of space as it is the first four-door type in Korea with 405-liter capacity. The "multi-dimensional cooling for each compartment" provides cool air from all of the six sides of the drawer and the "cooling care" function circulates cool air once every six minutes to keep the internal temperature change at a minimum, allowing long storage of kimchi. In addition, the "cooling sensor" automatically adjusts the supply of cool air by detecting when the door of each compartment is opened or closed, and the upgraded "keep delicious" function ensures your kimchi stays delicious for longer.

TROMM 6Motion 2.0
Normal drum washing machines use most of their energy in heating the water to 40 degrees. But "Tromm 6-motion 2.0" employs the "cold washing program" to reduce power consumption by 75%. The extra-powerful washing option can be selected for the six washing programs, resulting in better washing performance and lower power consumption as water does not need to be heated. In addition, the precision speed control technology of the Direct Drive motor has been upgraded 200% to provide even more accurate emulation of the six washing movements.
