Note

PVC and BFR
PVC has been gradually phased out from the use in product components since January 2008. PVC and BFR have been replaced from the use in all newly developed mobile phones from January 2010. And for all new TVs, monitors and PCs, PVC and BFR will be replaced by 2012 and will be phased out from the use in all newly developed household appliances by 2014.

Phthalates and Antimony
The use of phthalates and antimony will be prohibited for all new mobile phones, TVs, monitors, PCs by 2012 and all new household appliances by 2014.

Beryllium Oxide
The use of beryllium oxide in mobile phones has already been phased out, but we will prohibit the use of other kinds of beryllium compounds for all newly developed products by 2012, provided suitable alternatives can be found.

- Timelines for phase-out are based on new product development, unless otherwise specified.
- LG Electronics is committed to meeting the above stated phase-out plans. However, if substitution for certain parts is not possible within the above timeline due to technical issues, substitution for such parts will have to be postponed until suitable alternatives are found. Relevant stakeholders will be informed in advance in such cases.
