Water filters have come a long way in reducing the harmful contaminants found in drinking water, also making great strides in the way they accomplish the task. Study shows that water consumption is on the rise, and people are drinking more bottled water everyday. Unfortunately, not many consumers know that filtered water is actually held to higher purity standards than bottled water. Bottled water often contains more bacteria and impurities than tap water, because the EPA regulates municipal water systems more stringently than the FDA regulates bottled water. Water filters have made great strides in reducing the harmful contaminants found in drinking water; however, most filters also remove essential micronutrients, such as calcium and fluoride as well. LG refrigerators use a premium water filtration system that removes 99.35% of lead and many other water contaminants, without removing the beneficial fluoride, providing a great tasting, healthy refreshment.
LG’s newest vacuum cleaners feature the world’s first Motorized Dirt Compression system, which compacts dirt into solid cubes that are easy and hygienic to dispose.
A unique Rotablade inside the dirt chamber rotates continuously from side to side, tightly compacting dirt. Then, when the chamber is full and a dirt cube has been formed, the digital “Dirt Full” indicator lights up.
Removing the dirt cubes from the compressor is easy, and the cubes can be removed with a simple flick of the wrist.
A High Efficiency Particulate Air (HEPA) filter is a fine-dirt and odor air-shield. It consists of a carbon filter to deodorize smells, and a HEPA 12- or 13-filter that removes 99.97% of dirt.
