1080p Full HD Picture Quality
LG's Home Cinema produce the highest quality picture for any HD-Ready or HD-Ready 1080p TV. This is the next generation of home entertainment for HD-Ready TVs, delivering high-definition pictures that are far superior to standard DVDs, and boasting superior HD sound.
Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD Audio
Sound quality and audio detail with Blu-ray is vastly improved when compared to DVDs because the raw audio isn't compressed. That means there's no loss in quality and all the details of the sound appear as they would in the cinema. High-definition audio comes in two formats: Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD Audio. LG's Blu-ray player works with both, so you'll always experience the finest sound.
Progressive Scan
All LG AV Systems support Progressive Scan technology, which helps to relieve the eyes from fatigue when viewing over a long period of time. Progressive Scan projects all the colours onto the screen instantly, without any break between odd and even scanning lines, resulting in a flicker free and high density image. The picture quality is improved even more with DVFX TrueScan pro.
USB Direct Recording
With USB Ripping, you can connect a compatible MP3 player to the LG product’s USB port and record or ‘rip’ music from a CD directly to the MP3 player. The tracks will be copied onto the MP3 player in the order they appear on the CD. This great feature enables you to copy music on a MP3 player without the need for a computer!
VSM (Virtual Sound Matrix)
VSM enhances the listening experience from a home cinema system, by enabling the sound to travel more smoothly around the room. This is done by creating ‘virtual speakers’ that direct the sound. For example, VSM on a 2.1 home cinema system creates a ‘virtual’ 5.1 surround sound effect so that the sound appears to be coming from the back of the room.
DivX
DivX is a file format that allows movies to be compressed and fit onto a CD, as a DivX movie is about 8 to 12 time smaller than a DVD. DivX playback on LGs video and audio products allow you to download DivX movies from the Internet onto a CD or USB stick, to then enjoy in the comfort of your living room.
