Optical Storage Devices

LG Electronics' core optical storage products include its Super Multi Blue DVD Rewriter, a high-speed ODD compatible, with both Blu-ray and HD DVD formats. The company is also developing a Super Multi Blue to be compatible with all DVD formats, as well as developing next-generation optical storage technologies capable of managing post-HD video.

Home AV

Home AV products include the Super Blu Player, which is capable of playing HD videos. LG is also developing network solutions and related devices for HDTV/PC-AV.

LGs Develops a Blu Ray Player that Supports the World's First Inernet VoD

2007

LG Introduces the First Blu-ray/HD DVD-Compatible Dual-format High-Definition Disk Player: The world's first, LG's Super Blu Player is a product capable of managing Blu-ray and HD DVD discs, as well as conventional DVDs. The player has been awarded numerous prizes, including the CES Best in Show Award, Best Product Award in the Home Video category, and Popular Mechanic's Best Product Award.

LG Launches its New 50" Wireless HDTV (And Wins 2006 CES Best Innovation Award): This award-winning 50" wireless HDTV operates via an independent transmitter capable of sending HD-quality digital broadcasts to its plasma TV, wirelessly.
