The OLED television set has a screen size of 55 inch with 4.3 milimetre thickness.

"With curved screen, there will be no distortion in view of the content from any angle...viewer will get to see full content as he can get while sitting in front of TV," Rishi Tandon, LG India's Marketing head for Home Entertainment, said.

The company also showcased LG G2 Flex smartphone with curved plastic OLED screen, which will start selling by the end of January or early February 2014. It is priced in the range of Rs 60,000 to Rs 65,000.

"The curve of phone is built at 700 mm radius which is in sync with the hand movement of human body. The screen can bear load up to 40 kilogram," LG India's marketing head Amit Gujral said.

He said the curve design brings mouthpiece closer to the user and in turn increases the sound level in the mic of the phone.

LG G Flex is the first phone that has been announced for the Indian market to support dual screen.

"G Flex user will be able to do multitasking on this phone. It has option to support double window, be it reading watching video on window and simultaneously chatting on other," Gujral said.
