LG Electronics achieves a landmark in exports Orders- Bags Awards in Export and Import Category
New Delhi, November 03, 2006: LG Electronics India Pvt. Ltd. today achieved another landmark by bagging an award for the highest volume of Export Containers and third highest volume of Import Containers by Container Corporation of India Limited (CCIL).
The award for enhanced export performance was received by Mr. K.K Kaul, Sr. GM (Commercial &Logistics) and for third highest Import in containers was received by Mr.Ajay Sapra, DGM Corporate EXIM on behalf of LG, on 3rd November 2006 at India Habitat Centre.
LG has emerged as top-tier player not only in the general segment but in the premium range products as well. It imports innovative products like 71-inch plasma display panel (PDP), the largest PDP to be imported in India and host of other innovative products like LG DIOS refrigerators.
LG is exporting a range of Consumer Durables like Color Televisions, Home Appliances like refrigerators, air conditioners, and IT products PCs, monitors and mobile phones primarily to the markets of South Asia, Middle East and Africa.
Commenting on this achievement, Mr. K.R.Kim said, “This award corroborates LG’s leadership in India as well as International market and has been possible due to the persistent efforts of LGEIL to come up with fitting products for overseas markets as well as Indian market. At LG, we are honored to receive the Award in the export and import category from Container Corporation of India and thank them from acknowledging our achievement."
Delighted Mr. Ajay Sapra, DGM Corporate EXIM LGEIL, said, "The exports division is targeting to achieve almost 10% of the total turnover generated annually by LG India and we are certain of not only achieving this target but surpassing it as well. The international market has readily accepted our products as the Indian market and we see huge potential for growth in the overseas markets in the future."
