LG Electronics achieves another landmark
New Delhi, May 5, 2008: LG Electronics, India's leading Consumer Durable Company today announced its phenomenal success in terms of turnover with an all time high of Rs. 1150 crores in April 2008. The Home Appliances and GSM categories have also posted the highest turnover ever with Rs. 700 crore and Rs. 70 crore respectively.
In the month of April 2008, LG Electronics recorded a healthy 22% growth in its Home Appliances business and a whopping 58% growth in its GSM business as compared to the same period last year. This all time high revenue of LG India in April 2008 since the company’s inception in India in the year 1997 comes from 24% contribution from Consumer Electronics, 60% contribution from Home Appliances, 9% contribution from IT products and 6% contribution from GSM products.
Commenting on the exceptional performance of the company, Mr. V Ramachandran, Director Sales and Marketing, LGEIL said, “The month of April has seen LG Electronics strengthen its leadership in the industry with an all time high turnover.
