LG Electronics strengthens PC business

New Delhi, February 27, 2008: LG Electronics, a worldwide technology leader, today announced its plans to strengthen the PC business in India. The company has made some impressive launches in the recent past, including the innovative R200, the unique Desknote S900 and the mainstream R405 among others. LG has many launches planned for the upcoming months and the new season will see exciting offerings from the company.

LG has recently increased its manpower strength in the southern market in accordance with the growth in the category. The PC category being considered one of the growth engines for the company in 2008 is seeing tremendous growth.

LG has aggressive plans to increase their line up in premium category of desktop and notebooks and we will be launching products and campaigns keeping the consumer benefit as priority.”

He further said, “LG recently announced an exciting consumer promotional offer in order to enhance their buying experience with us. It is an interesting web based redemption program for our Desktop and notebook PC buyers.”

LG has increased its above-the-line marketing initiatives too on TV and internet in order to increase the visibility for its products. The channel front is also seeing increased attention where the company is inviting channel partners for its PC retail expansion. Retail being the focus for the year, is seeing increased display range in large format stores. LG is also trying to initiate discussion with all interested partners who want to work on high end products and look towards long term association and ROI on future business.
