LG PCs makes presence stronger through retail chains

New Delhi, March 28, 2008: LG Electronics, a worldwide technology leader, has taken a step ahead in Large Format retail in order to strengthen its retail presence in the PC business. The company has joined hands with big names like Croma, Reliance Digital, Metro Cash and Carry, Jumbo Electronics, Hypercity, Next, E zone and More (The Aditya Birla retail chain).

At all the outlets, LG has placed trained promoters. The branding and display have also been focused upon. The company is also working towards exclusive models for large retail chains. To initiate the same, LG is selling its latest range of widescreen notebooks – the E200 and E300 through the Croma retail chain. Croma presently has 17 stores in the country.

Commenting on the new initiatives, Mr. V Ramachandran, Director- Sales and Marketing, LG Electronics India Pvt. Ltd. said, “The sudden growth in the Large Format Retail Sector has taken everyone by surprise. The vendors believe that the market would be pretty big, running into hundreds of millions of dollars. We have received overwhelming response from the consumers and the partners on this initiative. LG’s nationwide presence and strong service network has a critical role to play in the success of the same.”
