LG's new MP4 Player, FM 37-The PocketTalkies

• First touch screen MP4 player in the Indian market

New Delhi, 23rd July, 2007: LG Electronics, India’s leading consumer durable company and the pioneers in multimedia convergence technology, today announced the launch of their first touchscreen MP4 player in the Indian market, pioneering the application of a touch sensor to electronic devices.

LG’s first touchscreen MP4 player, the compact FM37 PocketTalkies measures just 51.5 mm wide, 90 mm long, and 9.9 mm thick. It has a touchscreen LCD display that brings total control to user’s fingertips with its dragging, clicking and wheel function on a 2.4-inch TFT LCD display. Made of aluminium, FM37 PocketTalkies sports a polished look. This high-tech device supports video playback of MPEG 4 and popular audio file formats, including MP3, WMA, OGG, and ASF. This MP4 player is equipped with a 4GB flash memory.

Users can watch three hours of video or listen to 20 hours of music between charges. Other features include ultra-high-speed file transfer capability through its USB 2.0 port.

LG FM 37 PocketTalkies MP4 player has a very sleek and stylish design and has won the world's top design award, the Red dot design award.

The concept of applying an animation-based Graphic User Interface (GUI) to a Smart Touch screen was pioneered by the LG Design Center in Milan, bringing to MP4 players the European style of simple yet sensuous icon designs.
