[LG Water Purifier] How often does the water purifier filter need to be replaced?

Troubleshooting

A genuine LG replacement filter must be used for the water purifier.
Even if it is a genuine filter, its performance will degrade if used for too long, resulting in water not being purified well.
It is therefore important to replace with a genuine filter according to the replacement schedule.
In addition, LG water purifiers use the ultrafiltration (UF) method, which means that minerals are left in the water.
Due to the presence of minerals, when the water is heated or frozen, white precipitates may form.

The first filter removes heavy metals and harmful compounds.
It should be replaced every 6 months.
The second filter removes some species of bacteria and fine particles. It should be replaced every 12 months.

What is the filter replacement cycle?

➔ The filter replacement cycle refers to the expected time for each filter to perform at its best, rather than being the period ensuring the quality of the filter.

This estimation is based on a daily consumption and usage of 10L, which is typical for a 4-person household.
However, if the feed water quality is poor or if daily usage exceeds the norm, the replacement cycle may shorten.

What is filter volume/capacity?

Filter capacity is an indicator used to assess the lifespan of filters and other contaminant removing devices.
It is represented as the volume of purified water, with its calculation based on removal rates of substances like chloroform.
