LG Electronics European Shared Service Center B.V. (LGESC) is located in Amstelveen, and consists of three divisions being the Shared Service Center, Logistics & Services and a Supply Chain Management division.

The shared European service organization provides support to the European marketing and sales subsidiaries with management and development of financial functions in the area of tax, credit insurance, treasury, product standards and legal affairs.

 

We are looking for the following position within the ESC department.

 

Regulatory Affairs Specialist

 

As Regulatory Affairs Specialist you will be part of the European Standards Center team which is responsible for safeguarding the compliance to global, European and national compliance of our consumer electronics products. The Regulatory Affairs Specialist is responsible for following, analyzing and reporting on product safety (related to the GPSD Directive) and standards (related to the LVD and EMC Directives).

 

The working activities will be:

  • Brief HQ (in Korea) and factories on EU (self- / co-) regulations, proposals, and standards relating to product design and safety
  • Participate in relevant external meetings focused on electronics-related standards including those on Electro Magnetic Compatibility (EMC) and the Low Voltage Directives (LVD)
  • Investigate technical trends for products (self- / co-) regulation, standards in EU and prepare regular briefings for HQ and factories
  • Represent the company in European industry associations and other stakeholder meetings when relevant issues are discussed
  • Handle PL cases of European subsidiaries and report to factories
  • Support other team members with secondary topics as required

What are we looking for?

 The Regulatory Affairs Specialist has the following knowledge and experience:

  • Bachelor or Master degree preferably in electronics and/or product safety
  • 4 to 5 years working experience in a similar function preferable within a multinational
  • Basic knowledge and understanding of electronic products and related technical issues
  • Good knowledge of risk assessment processes and procedures
  • Fluent in English both written and verbal
  • Good networking capabilities
  • Advanced user with MS office (especially excel and powerpoint)
  • Strong presentation skills
