LG Electronics European Shared Service Center B.V. (LGESC) is located in Amstelveen, and provides services to 14 European marketing & sales subsidiaries in the following areas of: Tax, Legal, Treasury, Credit Insurances and Standards.

We are looking for the following position within the European Tax Center (ETX) department

Tax Specialist VAT

As Tax Specialist VAT you will be part of the European Tax Center team which is responsible for handling VAT issues of the European Sales subsidiaries. The Tax Specialist is responsible for review, preparation, and filing of VAT returns, Intrastat reports and various reconciliations and analysis of VAT & Intrastat related accounts.

The working activities will be:

• Act as trouble shooter on VAT issues
• Monitoring the accuracy of the VAT related entries initiated by the AR & AP teams
• Ensure that (EU) VAT is applied and booked according local VAT guidelines
• Prepare and review monthly VAT returns for all affiliated companies
• Prepare and review quarterly EU Sales listings for Dutch companies
• Perform various VAT accounts reconciliations and analysis
• Participate during internal VAT audits

What are we looking for?

 The Tax Specialist VAT has the following knowledge and experience:

• Bachelor or Master degree preferably in Tax/Finance/Accounting
• Three to four years working experience in a similar function preferable within a multinational
• Fluent in English both written and verbal
• Advanced user with MS office (especially excel)
• Experience with ERP systems is a pre
