    Amstelveen, 6 januari 2011 – LG Electronics (LG) heeft op de 2011 International Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas de E2290V monitor gepresenteerd. De 22 inch Full HD LED-monitor, onderscheiden met de CES Innovations Award, is met 7.2 mm ‘s werelds dunste monitor. De geringe dikte is mogelijk dankzij EZ cabling, de methode die het mogelijk maakt om alle aansluitingen in de voet van de monitor te verwerken. De monitor heeft een superieure beeldkwaliteit. En dankzij de metalen afwerking is het een zeer stijlvolle monitor.

    Uit een consumentenonderzoek van het Voedingscentrum blijkt dat de helft van de Nederlanders gezonder wil eten*. Juist voor kinderen is het belangrijk om de juiste voedingsstoffen binnen te krijgen. Volgens het Rijksinstituut voor Volksgezondheid en Milieu eet echter slechts een klein percentage van de vier- tot zesjarigen de aanbevolen 100 tot 150 gram groente per dag**. Wat maakt het zo moeilijk om gezond te eten? In het onderzoek worden naast zelfbeheersing (31%) ook “ongezond eten vind ik te lekker” (27%), “onregelmatig leven” (24%) en “kost te veel tijd” (19%) genoemd*.

    Per 1 oktober werd Mr Bon-joon Koo als wereldwijde CEO van LG Electronics benoemd. Als onderdeel van zijn ambitieuze groeistrategie is het bedrijf gestart met een herindeling van de organisatie. Een van de gevolgen hiervan is dat per 1 januari 2011 LG Electronics Benelux afscheid neemt van haar huidige President, Bjørn Berg-Andersen. Als opvolger wordt Yun-soo Park benoemd, die in zijn huidige functie Regional Business Leader voor de TV business van LG in Europa is.

    Amstelveen, 1 december 2010 – LG Electronics schenkt het Utrechtse echtpaar dat onlangs tijdens het televisiekijken werd bestolen van hun LG-televisie geheel gratis een nieuw exemplaar. Dit doet het bedrijf in samenwerking met elektronicawinkel De Block. Bij het echtpaar Franken werd afgelopen zondagavond een steen door de ruit gegooid. Twee dieven gristen vervolgens hun recent aangeschafte televisie onder hun neus weg.

    SEOUL, Dec. 1, 2010 - LG Electronics (LG) has announced it will replace all conventional magnesium inside its mobile phones with Eco-Magnesium, a new type of clean magnesium alloy, by 2012. The decision will reduce greenhouse gas emission by a factor of approximately 24,000 during the die casting process without affecting the quality of the final product.
