Do Not Disturb (DND) feature
Function
In Lollipop OS, you could set to All / Priority / None.
From Marshmallow OS (Android 6.0) Do Not Disturb is added.
To enter DND mode, swipe down twice from the top or swipe down with two fingers
to reveal quick settings, you’ll find the “Do not disturb” tile. Touch it to enter DND. You have an option
to enter DND with Priority only, Alarm only, or Total silence.
To access DND settings:
From the home screen, tap Apps > Settings > Sound & notification > Do not disturb
(1) Priority only allows – Set options to enable in Priority only mode (Alarm enabled by default)
Options include: Reminders, Events, Messages, Calls, and Repeat callers. For Messages and Calls,
options are From anyone/ From contacts only/ From starred contacts only/ None
(2) Automatic rules –set the rules to automatically enter DND mode. You can also add your own time
based rules or calendar event based rules.
When you’re in the auto rule, you can select the DND style:
Priority only - based on your priority settings
Alarm only - nothing will sound but alarms
Total silence - nothing will sound even alarms
Entering
There are a few ways to enter DND.
1 You can press the volume key all the way down and press again to trigger DND
and that option with give you alarm only.
2 Swipe down twice from the top or swipe down with two fingers to reveal quick settings,
you’ll find the “Do not disturb” tile. Touch it to enter DND.
3 You have an option to enter DND with Priority only, Alarm only, or Total silence.
You can also set when you’ll exit DND.
