Link App – Not Mirror Link
Issue
When linked to a carkit via mirroring application screen is discolored or distorted
Cause
Some application such as Car Link uses their own transfer mechanism instead of Mirrorlink and are unable to detect the correct aspect ratio.
Solution
When using certain mirroring app such as the “Car Link” please change aspect ratio of the app to match the aspect ratio of the carkit.
How to change ratio:
1. Open Settings > Display tab > App Scaling.
2. Select the application (such as “Car Link”).
3. Select the appropriate screen ratio and press OK to apply.
