MANILA, March 7, 2014 – Mobile technology innovator LG Electronics (LG) announced the much-anticipated Android 4.4 KitKat OS upgrade for its smartphone powerhouse, LG G2, to roll out this month.

Based on internal testing, LG’s flagship smartphone is set to offer a more exceptional mobile experience for its users with a noticeable speed boost, allowing the G2 to run applications up to 17 percent faster than before. It can also play music more efficiently and support the battery-saving location mode, extending battery life and improving user enjoyment.

The Chromium engine also allows G2 users to browse the Web and stream online videos more quickly and seamlessly.

“The provision of timely software updates is one of the many ways LG is constantly improving the user experience,” said Lawrence Kim, LG Philippines’ Vice President for Mobile. “In addition to introducing useable new features, the OS upgrade for the G2 delivers a number of optimizations that enhance the entire mobile user experience. Other key enhancements to the G2 are the Google Cloud Printer which makes it simpler and more convenient for the user to print documents via Wi-Fi or a Bluetooth connection, and the improved responsiveness of LG’s KnockOn feature.

This award winning flagship phone of LG is also now available in 16 GB variant with the SRP of P 24,990, while LG G2 32 GB is still available at P 29,990.
