Advertising and unexpected reset of settings
An LG television comes with the option to set the television to store mode or home mode.
In store mode the image is adjusted for correct display under Fluorescent tube lighting, often found in stores.
Store mode also shows advertising about the LG television and resets the settings to default after a short period of time.
This prevents customers from making wrong settings and giving a wrong impression of our image quality to other customers.
Some customers have Store mode enabled while watching television at home. This might happen during installation, or during normal use.
It is also possible that the customer has received a display model from the store.
The customer will complain about advertising and maybe about losing the display settings.
To disable store mode on
WebOS:
Open the Settings menu, go to the General tab set the Home/Store mode to Home.
Netcast :
Open the Settings menu, go to the Option tab and set the Mode Setting to Home Use.
If these settings do not disable the advertising, the customer should try to do a factory reset.
