CONNECTING EXTERNAL DEVICES- PC

HDMI

HDMI is the recommended type of connection

HDMI cables will connect two devices by inserting the HDMI cable into the HDMI Out on the PC and then to HDMI IN on the television.

DVI to HDMI

Using a DVI to HDMI converter is the equivalent to using an HDMI cable in video quality, however the DVI converter does not support audio and a separate audio cable must be connected.

The DVI converter will connect to the DVI Out port on the PC and the other end (HDMI) will connect to the HDMI In port on the television.

An RGB/DVI cable is needed for audio between the two devices.

RGB-PC

Using an RGB (VGA) connection is the equivalent of having a component connection quality picture. HD resolutions are supported while the signal is still analog. As with the DVI to HDMI method, an RGB cable only supports video so a separate audio cable must be connected.

RGB cables will connect two devices by inserting the RGB cable to the RGB Out on the PC and then to the RGB In on the television.

An RGB/DVI cable is needed for audio between the two devices.
