LG has created an app to control your Smart TV with webOS! Follow the steps below to Install, Setup and Use, or Troubleshoot the LG TV Plus app.


Installing the App

  1. Open the Store

    First, open the Play Store  .

  2. Search for LG TV Plus

    Next, tap the Search  area near the top right, and type in LG TV Plus.

  3. Tap the Install button

    Next, choose to Install install the LG TV Plus  app.

  4. Open the app

    Now Open  the LG TV Plus  app, and proceed to Setup.

  1. Open the Store

    First, open the App Store  (iPhone/iPad).

  2. Search for LG TV Remote-webos

    Next, tap the Search  area near the top right, and type in LG TV remote-webos.

  3. Tap Get then Install

    Next, choose Get get, then Install install.

  4. Open the app

    Now Open  the LG TV Plus  app, and proceed to Setup.

Setup the App

  1. Open the app and click Start

    To begin, click Start.

  2. Read and Agree to the terms

    Accept/Agree to the Terms of Use.

  3. Connect to the Network

    Make sure both your mobile device and the TV are connected to the same network. This is required to use the LG TV Plus  app.

  4. Pair the TV to the app

    Pair the LG TV Plus  app with the TV.

    Choose your TV. It will automatically appear when found.

    Note: If the app doesn't find your TV, refer to the Troubleshooting section of this page.

  1. Open the app and Accept the terms

    Accept/Agree to the Terms of Use.

  2. Connect to the Network

    Make sure both your mobile device and the TV are connected to the same network.

    This is required to use the LG TV Plus  app.

  3. Pair the TV to the app

    1. Pair the LG TV Plus  app with the TV.

    2. Choose your TV. It will automatically appear when found.

    Note: If the app doesn't find your TV, refer to the Troubleshooting section of this page.

  4. Enter the code

    On the iOS App your TV will provide a code; Type the code into the app.

Troubleshoot

    1. Make sure to type LG TV Plus into the search bar for Android devices, or LG TV remote-webos for iOS devices.

    2. If the LG TV Plus  app is still not found, your mobile device may not be compatible.

    1. Make sure the TV is powered on.

    2. Make sure both the TV and the mobile device are connected to the same Wifi network.

    3. Make sure your TV's Model Number is listed in the LG TV Plus  app.

    4. Wait at least 2 full minutes for the mobile device to find the TV.

    5. Next, try to powercycle your router (unplug it and plug it back in).

    6. If the issue persists, Contact Us.

    1. Try another app on your device, if nothing on your device responds to touch, it may be malfunctioning. Try to restart the device.

    2. If other apps are working, uninstall then re-install the LG TV Plus  app.

    3. If the issue persists, try the remote that came with the TV.

    4. If the issue persists, Contact Us.

    1. Ensure you have the correct App that supports your TV's model number.

    2. Uninstall then re-install the LG TV Plus  app.

    3. If the issue persists, try the remote that came with the TV.

    4. If the issue persists, Contact Us.

    1. Restart your mobile device.

    2. If the issue persists, uninstall then re-install the LG TV Plus  app.

    3. If the issue persists, try other apps. If other apps freeze as well, your mobile device may be malfunctioning.

    4. If the issue persists, Contact Us.
