very disappointed with this machine. You can't put your recording into folders For eg films etc. You can only transfer SD recordings to another hard drive not HD recordings. Also if you play films from an external drive you can only play & stop them .Not fast forward or rewind, so if you run out of time & don't finish you have to go back to the start. Also LG customer service is very poor. The player now will not play discs. 4 weeks ago I rang LG & was told the machine would be collected & sent for repair.4 weeks. 4 phone calls & a e-mail later we are still waiting for for the unit to be collected

Rated 5 out of 5 by silverfox v,good hardware, not so good software
I,ve always had lg aquipment and swear by it, and this is a really good piece of kit, although the software needs to be looked at, Ie, cant see the point of being able to connect to my wifi, if there is not a full browser, cannot get iplayer, or a number of other programs, and as the other reviewer said it switches off when it finishes recording , there should be something in the menu that allows the user to disable this feature as it,s very annoying to have to turn it on again when your watching a program, I hope someone in the tech department reads this, and if it is at all possible to correct these shortcomings, it would turn a good machine into a brilliant machine

Rated 2 out of 5 by Pete good recording and playback
The recorder does what it does very well. Let down by poor features: It will not record to DVD. It is not possible to edit recordings to remove adverts. It is not possible to skip adverts but you can fast forward. Programmes are stored in reverse order - last first. Slightly disappointing for top of range devise. Also found customer support for my LG tv disgraceful but sorted problem myself and tv is good. Will buy different make next time.

Have the same problem here in Sweden, but even worse. Got 40 low-end apps to choose from, one premium app (Netflix) is still missing in spite LG in a press release stated it should be avail since oct 2012 (since then, they only reply with lies), another premium-app crashes the set so I have to power-cycle it to get it back working...
Something is definitely severely wrong with LG and I dont recommend any LG product to anybody!
