Tae-kil Kang has served as senior vice president of the LG Electronics corporate audit team since January 1, 2008. He has a strong will to spread Jeong-do Management, LG's unique application of ethics through fair management practices and constant development of business skills, throughout the company. He leads a team responsible for ensuring the integrity of financial statements, and the application of transparent processes and best practices across LG Electronics.
Mr. Kang has a gained a keen business insight through a 30-year career, beginning in 1982 as a member of the investment management division, and moving to strategic administration in Changwon. After holding several management positions in the strategic business field, he played a vital role during his tenure in the Asian regional planning division. Mr. Kang also served as the head of the strategic planning for the Digital Appliance business unit from 2000 to 2003.
In March 2004, he was appointed president of the LG Electronics Taizhou, a large production subsidiary in China. Immediately prior to his appointment to the corporate audit team, he successfully led the marketing division of LG electronics in China where his main responsibilities included sales, organic growth, marketing and communications functions in across the country.
Mr. Kang graduated from Pusan National University with a major in Business Administration. He enjoys reading and mountain climbing on weekends.
