GT540 Every thing you need in one phone
First time user with an Android Phone and was quite amazed with all the features that came with this compact phone.
With so many wifi Hotspots available the on-board wifi comes in very useful and can save you pounds when using a pay as you go sim.
The on board GPS is also a good feature and with plenty of free Apps that make good use with the GPS.
The phone is easy to use and easy to customise to your needs. Although the touch screen is not capacitance it is still very sensitive and works very well. making calls is very straight forward as with sending text messages.
The App Store has a multitude of free and paid apps to add to your phone but I would have liked to see apps saved to the external sd card instead of the internal memory which did not take long to fill.
Overall I am very pleased with the LG GT540 it meets my every day needs.

Overall a great product
Everything was great about this phone; the music area was perfect, loved downloading apps from the store, could organise things in the calender and memos easily. This phone is great for anyone new to android or touchscreen. However there were a few problems. Firstly the Internet was really slow, the camera lacked quality and before my two year contract ended the touchscreen and buttons stopped working even though I've never actually dropped the phone.

This product is Great Value for the price
the LG GT540 aims to give first time smartphone users the right balance of features in a friendly package. Well-rounded connectivity and good design, with just the right touch of extravagance, will certainly open doors. The LG GT540 is a reasonably sized handset, standing at 109 x 54.5 x 12.7 mm. It’s no big deal to comfortably find room for it in most pockets. It’s hardly too heavy. Almost the whole front of the GT540 is taken by the 3” resistive touchscreen of HVGA resolution. The image quality of the TFT display is decent, although, as is to be expected in this price range, won’t blow you off your feet. The touchscreen is quite responsive for a resistive unit too.. The microSD card slot is under the rear cover but is luckily hot-swappable. The GT540 supports microSD and microSDHC cards. It had no problems handling the full 16GB microSDHC card. Overall, the LG GT540 handles nicely and the hardware controls are reasonably comfortable. It sits well in the hand and feels sturdy

It has the worst touchscreen in the world. The screen has broke as well.
