Rated 2 out of 5 by A Average phone I have this phone as a backup, but its performance isn't the best. The android software is really old, the screen isn't touch sensitive, and the battery life lasts for probably half an hour if I didn't lock it once. The camera is actually doable. Some of the pre installed apps don't even work, like YouTube. I also download apps and they keep crashing. The audio when phoning people isn't very clear and sometimes my phone crashes and declines calls automatically. Overall, this is a very basic phone meant for calling and texting. 02 March 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by dave333 tried and tested I've had the phone for about 3 years now. It has been fantastic, Full of useful features, I am still amazed at its looks and performance. Just lost the charging plug socket cover, but after that length of time its entitled too. I have looked after it, always had a case and a screen cover as well. Only minor gripe would be battery life, would be nice if it lasted a bit longer, but still lasts longer than some of my friends phones 21 December 2013
Rated 1 out of 5 by Room101 What a load of rubbish This is the worst phone I have ever owned! Bluetooth by wire? Give me a break! LGPCSuite was not to be found following LG's instructions, when all the time it was on the phone and LG support didn't know that! The screen is too small. The screen scrolling is erratic. Syncing PC to phone is unreliable. No software for Mac on the LG site that I can find except a driver which says it doesn't work or something. Buy this load of rubbish at your peril. 11 February 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Sligoman GT540 Every thing you need in one phone First time user with an Android Phone and was quite amazed with all the features that came with this compact phone. With so many wifi Hotspots available the on-board wifi comes in very useful and can save you pounds when using a pay as you go sim. The on board GPS is also a good feature and with plenty of free Apps that make good use with the GPS. The phone is easy to use and easy to customise to your needs. Although the touch screen is not capacitance it is still very sensitive and works very well. making calls is very straight forward as with sending text messages. The App Store has a multitude of free and paid apps to add to your phone but I would have liked to see apps saved to the external sd card instead of the internal memory which did not take long to fill. Overall I am very pleased with the LG GT540 it meets my every day needs. 12 January 2013
