LG SuperSign Makes Digital SignageSuper Easy for SMBs

Latest digital signage solution from LG Electronics Business Solutions offers an all-in-one digital signage solution for SMB retailers and channel

Slough, United Kingdom – 2nd February, 2010: For SMB retail and commercial outlets looking for cost-effective and consumer engaging ways to get the edge over the competition, LG's new SuperSign all-in-one digital signage solution offers a winning combination of hardware, software and features in an easy to use and install package.

LG’s own research shows that SMB’s make up the largest proportion of the European digital signage market – approximately 31%. These businesses need the same quality and reliability from their displays as larger operations but at considerably lower costs, and often rely on support and solutions from smaller service providers & resellers who understand the needs of smaller outlets. Those needs include complete high quality display solutions, that are easy to maintain and use; which is why LG has developed SuperSign - tailored made with the SMB market in mind.

“SuperSign has been developed by LG as a total digital signage solution for SMB resellers to take to their customers. It is an ideal package solution for small retail and commercial operations requiring a simple, cost-effective, but powerful display tool. Because all the elements within SuperSign are optimised to work together, it is simple for a service provider to install or for a reseller to deliver. And with easy to use and update software, maintenance and upkeep requires minimal time and effort,” explains Luc Grare, Director of LG Business Solutions for Europe.

LG SuperSign is a highly scalable solution that includes displays, a media player (PC) and powerful, but easy to use, software. It is the first practical digital signage solution for SMBs and makes it easy to create signage content quickly and simply, so retail staff can focus their time on business tasks and customer care rather than signage configuration.

The solution allows an operator to transmit media and data files through a local area network, from a server PC with the SuperSign software installed. It boasts high-performance advertising by offering multiple frames on a single display, and rich functions to author and manage content. It is able to display up to two pieces of Full HD content or four HD simultaneously while also supporting RSS feeds with text and icons for weather and stock news. Its broad range of format support includes photos, PowerPoint presentations, and HTML and Flash content It also packs in a full diagnostics system, anti-theft system and fault monitoring, along with monitoring features that enable a single server PC to monitor multiple displays.

Digital signage has unparalleled benefits when compared to traditional print signage, which make it ideal for SMB’s in today’s extremely competitive environment. It’s easier to update with various types of content, and more information can be supplied thanks to screen refreshes. Resellers and service providers are focused on solving their customers problems and helping them build their business, without creating complexity, and at the most competitive costs. With the economic situation continuing to increase the challenges faced by SMB’s, SuperSign offers those resellers a complete, cost-effective but impactful digital signage solution that answers all those requirements and more,” Grare concludes.
