Great sound quality, but why no HDMI
Sounds great, very easy to set up and use and great sound right out of the box, but the lack of HDMI means that you can't control volume with the TV remote (even though it's an LG) and you need the sound bar remote to do that. 2 remotes does not make for a faultless viewing experience, but so long as you can find the remote, it is the only issue I have found.

No wires and almost 5.1 sound quality
Following some recent building work being carried out , it was made perfectly clear by my long suffering wife that there would be no more wires running behind furniture spoiling the look of the room. So the subwoofer and satellite speakers of my LG home cinema went on eBay to be replaced by the sound bar. In day to day use you would be hard pressed to tell you are not listening to a 5.1 system. Watching the new Star Treck movie the subwoofer rumbles the many spectacular explosions across the floor and up through the chair, while the front mounted speakers fill the room with sound every bit as well as my old 5.1 system.
The auto on and off feature switches the unit on when it detects an audio signal from television satellite or cable box works flawlessly.
I looked at similar sound bars from all the major competitors, including where possible in store demonstrations, and short of paying silly money for a Bose system this is the one to go for if you need a wire free alternative to a 5.1 system.
